I'd enthusiastically recommend Mariana to anyone looking for an apartment in NYC. I worked with her as a first-time renter, and since I was moving out of my family's home (which was within commuting distance of my workplace), I was quite particular about my price point and the quality of the spaces I was looking at. Mariana completely understood what I was looking for right off the bat. Although she was honest about the fact that my requirements might make my search a little more limited, she also managed to make me feel confident about finding something that fit my needs.
Mariana was also great about following up, maximizing my time, and being flexible with my schedule and my opinions—which changed a couple of times even as we were looking! A pet peeve of mine is when a broker tries to pressure you into making a decision before you're ready—something Mariana never did.
