As a real estate broker and long-time resident of New York City, Cathy Shim brings her clients first-hand knowledge and experience in the real estate market. Though she began her career as an attorney, she discovered her true passion for Manhattan’s real estate market and uses her professionalism and negotiating savvy to benefit buyers, sellers, and renters as well.



Before joining the A.C. Lawrence family, Cathy practiced law for eight years as a litigator for private law firms in downtown Manhattan, negotiating many settlements and arguing many cases on behalf of her clients to achieve superior results.



Cathy’s expertise gives her a deep understanding of how to achieve the most successful outcome on behalf of her clients – which translates on day-to-day basis into helping them obtain the best possible homes. She is a firm believer in providing informative and consistent client service, and treats each individual with the utmost respect. Apart from the law, Cathy was actively involved in international and local politics in New York City for various political campaigns. She worked for the State Department as an intern at the U.S. Mission to the UN under then-U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Bill Richardson.



Personally, she enjoys dining out, living the City life, and traveling when time allows.
